Acceptable Use

Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: 10/16/2026

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy describes content and conduct that are not allowed on the Embrs mobile applications for iOS and Android, the Embrs web app, and the journey pages organizations share on Embrs (together, the “App”). It is part of our Terms & Conditions and applies to everything you create, upload, share, or publish on Embrs, including journeys and other content built with Embrs AI features.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not create, upload, share, or publish, or use Embrs AI features to create or attempt to create, any of the following:

  • Sexual content: Sexually explicit material or content intended to arouse.

  • Content that sexualizes minors: Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors. This is never allowed and is covered in detail by our Child Safety Standards.

  • Hate and harassment: Content that attacks, demeans, or threatens people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or another protected characteristic, and content that bullies, threatens, or harasses anyone.

  • Violent extremism: Content that recruits for, promotes, or supports violent extremist or terrorist groups or acts.

  • Self-harm and eating disorders: Content that promotes, encourages, or gives instructions for suicide, self-harm, or disordered eating. Content that supports recovery, grief, or care is allowed.

  • Scams, phishing, and data harvesting: Content designed to deceive people, take their money, or collect their passwords, payment details, or other personal information under false pretenses.

  • Impersonation: Presenting yourself or your content as coming from a real church, organization, person, or brand you do not represent.

  • Infringing material: Copyrighted works you do not have the right to use, such as song lyrics, books, articles, or another organization’s material reproduced in full. See our Copyright & DMCA Policy.

  • Illegal content: Content that is unlawful or that promotes illegal activity.

3. Prohibited Conduct

  • Trying to get around the safeguards built into Embrs AI features, or using them for a purpose other than the one they are offered for in a way that harms Embrs or others.

  • Using another person’s account, or letting someone else use yours.

  • Interfering with the App, its security, or other people’s use of it, or accessing it by automated means except as we allow.

4. Your Responsibility

Embrs does not review journeys or other content before they are published. You are responsible for what you create and publish, including content built with AI features, as described in our Terms & Conditions. Embrs AI features and our automated screening may not catch everything this policy prohibits, and content they allow is not approved by Embrs.

5. Enforcement

We may review content that is reported to us or flagged by our automated screening. If we believe content or conduct violates this policy, we may remove or restrict the content, refuse a request to an AI feature, and suspend, restrict, or terminate the account involved. Attempts to create prohibited content with Embrs AI features are treated as violations even when our safeguards block the result.

6. Reporting

If you see content on Embrs that violates this policy, report it using the report option in the App where available, or email safety@embrs.com with a link to the content and a short description of the problem. For copyright claims, follow our Copyright & DMCA Policy. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date and provide notice through the App or other reasonable means.
